Estimation・Quotation

■□■Rope access techniques can easily solve challenges in high and difficult-to-reach places■□■

In particular, the three-dimensional rope access technique [SORAT] being promoted by our association enables swift
and safe movement in all directions – forward, backward, left, right, up, and down. This technology is rapidly gaining
adoption in industries including infrastructure maintenance and inspection.

Among the factors driving this technological adoption

Among the factors driving this technological adoption…
1 It is a technology based fundamentally on safety, and in fact, has maintained an accident-free record for over 30 years since its initial development.
2 Easy access to any high or difficult-to-reach location, with no need for specialized equipment, vehicles, temporary installations, or traffic restrictions.
3 As a result, it offers excellent cost-effectiveness and can be implemented at a remarkably low cost.

This is a technology that is expected to play an active role in various industries both domestically and internationally in the near future.

Adoption of this technology in the industry

There are several challenges in the widespread adoption of this technology in the industry:
1 Due to the nature of the work, cost estimation, quotation, and productivity standards cannot be definitively established, requiring experienced engineers to calculate these for each project.
2 Problems of poor quality at low prices are occurring due to inexperienced operators using similar technologies through mere imitation.
3 In particular, issues such as damage to target structures due to lack of morals and professional knowledge, cut corners in work, and unsafe incidents due to lack of safety awareness are significantly hindering the widespread adoption of this technology.

Here, we have briefly outlined “cost estimation and quotation” for “investigation, inspection, and examination work” and “other services.

Additionally, reference materials for cost estimation are provided in a separate section and can be downloaded:

①Cost Estimation Materials for Rope Access Bridge Inspection Work (SORAT)
②Cost Estimation Materials for Rope Access Slope Investigation Work (SORAT)
③Cost Estimation Materials for Rope Access Rock Wall Investigation Work (SORAT)

In any case, these are only reference materials. In practice, we provide estimates for each individual project.

! Close-up visual inspection is an absolute prerequisite.
Beware of negligent contractors!

Beware of contractors who cannot perform close-up visual inspections due to their complete lack of rope access skills, and instead rely on distant visual inspections. Furthermore, be extremely cautious of negligent contractors who drastically reduce the number of inspection points because their poor rope access skills make close-up visual inspections time-consuming and labor-intensive!!
