The Society of Rope Access Techniques (SORAT)
has established rope access technology certifications to ensure the proper dissemination and application of rope access techniques.
The certifications are categorized into three main types, each further divided into three skill levels:
Level 1
Training completed, but not authorized for practical work
Level2
Allowed to participate in practical training under PRO supervision
Level3
Certified PRO-level technician, authorized for practical work
Level 1
Training completed, but not authorized for practical work
Level2
Allowed to participate in practical training under PRO supervision
Level3
Certified PRO-level technician, authorized for practical work
Certification Validity & Renewal
Certifications are valid for one year.
Certification issuance, renewal training, and rescue training are determined separately.
Completion of this course grants a Level 1 Certification (not authorized for practical work).
